Day 15: A movie that you relate to

Well. We were young. We were in love. But the only way I could communicate with her was through a time traveling mailbox at my mother's lakehouse...

Hahahaha. I'm just lying. I've never seen The Lake House, but I love the fact that they make fun of it on The Big Bang Theory. I kind of relate to a few movies... which is sad, I think.

One night my mom and I were (at the lake house) watching a movie and we both started crying. It reminded both of us of our relationship.

So I guess I should give you a little background... at one point in my life, my mother and I hated each other. We couldn't spend 5 minutes in the same room together with out screaming. I left home early and tried to get out of the little bubble she wanted to keep me in. Look. I know all teenagers think that their parents are too protective and overbearing, but trust me... her friends did an intervention on her for her parenting...

But the really cool thing is that today my mommy and I are bestest friends. She is absolutely amazing. When we think about how we used to be, it's unbelievable. I am so grateful for her. She has been there for me and listened when I had no one else to talk to. So now, anytime we watch some stupid sappy mother-daughter drama, it gets to us... But the movie we were watching that night was Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.

Yep. That's me and my crazy mother... we are both a little crazy now, but at least we have an awesome relationship.  :)
